Missions Support Opportunity:

From Kuri Lahai-Pumagoi, the daughter of Denise Lahai-Pumagoi:

My name is Kuri Lahai-Pumagoi and I am the daughter of Denise Lahai-Pumagoi. I and my fellow Spanish 3 & 4 classmates will be embarking on a missions trip to Honduras on February 25, 2017. While in Honduras we will be staying on a farm where a girls’ orphanage is located. We will be ministering to the girls and the local schools. We’ll also be giving them school supplies and essential items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. My mother has worked very hard to raise money for this trip, but we are still coming up short. I would appreciate any help that I could get from the brothers and sisters of the church. Please contact my mom if you would like to contribute: (314) 532-3034 or via email:

Thank you,

Kuri Lahai-Pumagoi

“Last Nights of the King” – The 2017 Women’s Day

The Women’s Ministry of Gateway City Church is proud to sponsor the St. Louis debut of the one-woman show, Last Nights of the King by Katie Del Rocco. This event will take place at our main campus (9330 Stansberry Ave, St. Louis, MO 63134).

Join us for a special performance as one performer brings to life seven women from David’s life, as seen through the eyes of his youngest – and most disgruntled – concubine.

“Trapped” in a royal house stained with violence, murder, and adultery, will she dare to hope there is a God who sees her?

Tickets are only $10 and include a Continental Breakfast and admission to the show.

EARLY BIRD BONUS: Purchase your tickets by March 5th to receive a 20% discount…pay just $8 per ticket!

Continental breakfast will be served 9:30 – 10:30 am, with the performance immediately following 10:30 – 11:30am.

Women and girls ages 10+ are invited to attend! Sorry, childcare will not be provided.

What people are saying about Last Nights of the King….

Katie exceeded my expectations. In fact, I was taken aback. Her ability to make nuances and short episodes from Scripture come alive is amazing. Last Nights of the King was a challenge to my memory of the stories and an upward call for its professional quality. The message, as she wrapped everything up in the closing act was cathartic. [The] performance was astonishingly good.
—Douglas Jacoby, Athens GA

Katie Del Rocco! — how can one person become so many different persons in a single play — and so convincingly? Although few actors could pull this off, Del Rocco does so convincingly. Mental acuity, vocal clarity, and visual pleasantness combine nicely in this talented thespian. More important, we experience the Word of God coming to life, for Katie Del Rocco doesn’t stand in the way. Consistently gracious, she subordinates herself to the Lord and his message. And so we hear not her, but Him.
— Steve Staten, Chicago IL

I think Katie is the most exciting performer, writer I’ve ever seen.

Our Most Exciting Post Ever…CHURCH PARKING!

Are you enjoying the new main campus Sunday schedule? Some have commented how much they LOVE seeing everyone and worshiping the Lord together at the main campus.

If you’ve been around Gateway awhile, you know that usually a change like this has benefits as well as challenges. The current parking situation is one of those challenges.

The good news is, a remedy is on the way! Plans are in the works to expand the parking lot once the weather gets a little warmer. But for the winter, we’ll need to work together to solve this problem.

Many of us have mastered the art of “creative parking”, but for Sunday services it’s not an option. We need to ensure enough space is available for emergency vehicles to maneuver through the lot. The current lot was laid out with this in mind. As long as you park within the lined parking spaces, you’re good to go. “Not OK” parking includes:

  • Creating your own space adjacent to a lined parking space
  • Parking on the edge of a driveway or partially in the grass
  • Parking anywhere along the driveway over by the soccer field

With help from the usher captains, we took several pictures of a staff member’s car to show examples of what “Not OK” parking looks like. You can view our creative parking skills HERE.

If you do happen to arrive after our parking lot is full, a wonderful opportunity awaits you! We invite you enjoy quaint parking accommodations at Woodson Terrace Community Center, or one of over 75 luxurious spaces are available across the street at CITY HALL! You can view our hastily-made, no-money-spent marketing brochure for overflow parking HERE!

To assist you with this transition, greeters will be stationed outside in the parking lot to help direct traffic, and we’ll also have at least one over in the overflow parking to assist you as well.

Thanks for doing your part to help with our short term solution. See you on Sunday!

Dear Gateway Family,

Love in Him,

Jeannine Spencer
