THE WEEKLY – Upcoming events..and how to track Santa!

promiscastandcrew

Isn’t this a great picture? This past Sunday’s production was incredible. Our church is so richly blessed with talent! BIG thanks to all the cast and crew for all their hard work.

This will be the last weekly update of the year; the Gateway staff will be taking some time off to enjoy Christmas.  We’ll be watching movies, enjoying meals with family, and thanking God for all his blessings this year.

For a fun activity with the kids (and kids at heart), we suggest tracking Santa as he moves around the globe. Visit NORAD’S website, or call 1-877-HI-NORAD to talk a real person. And of course they have an app too! Search the app store under “norad santa tracker”.

THE WEEKLY – Christmas Production, January Events

thepromise

WOW.  Those working on this year’s Christmas production have really outdone themselves this year. Feel free to share the above graphic via email/social media…this show is definitely one that your friends and family should come and see.

Here’s what’s coming up….

Submitting Prayer Requests:

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” – Matthew 18:20

Our prayers have power, especially when we are praying together. In an effort to help our congregation know what needs to be prayed for, we are now including a “Prayer Requests” section in The Weekly. (The Weekly is this emailed newsletter, which is also published on the Gateway mobile app.)

If you have something on your heart that you would like the church to pray for, please email it to kathy@gatewaycitychurch.com.  Please keep these requests brief, no more than 3 sentences each. We ask that you submit these requests by Monday night, for publication in the The Weekly the following day.

Going forward, we will also be including illness and death announcements each week in the “Prayer Requests” section as well.  These should also be directed to kathy@gatewaycitychurch.com.

Christmas Production: Our annual Christmas service will take place on Sunday, December 20. There will be two services as usual, at 9am and 11am. Childcare will be provided for ages 4 and under; older children will join their parents for this family-friendly service.

Pulse/Campus New Year’s Eve Party: The first ever Pulse / Campus New Year’s Eve Bash will be the “party of the year”. All Campus students and Young Professionals are invited! There will be fondue, snacks, games, fellowship, and dancing. Thursday, December 31st, beginning at 7pm. Registration is $10. Also we have good news from Omsk Church of Christ.

There are 34 disciples in Omsk Church of Christ, 13 brothers and 21 sisters.

In this year we have celebrated 14 years, since 2001 the church was planted in Omsk.

Misha and Nastya Pavstyuk are leaders of Omsk Church. We’ve moved to Omsk from Novosibirsk Church in 2010 year. God blessed us with two boys. Ivan is older son, he is 3, 5 years old and Stepan he is only 6 month old. We love Omsk church and happy to serve God in Omsk, but sometime it is not easy. We are fighting for baptisms in our church.

Through a lot of prays, God gave us the baptism in September 2015th. At the first time Yura came to the church 12 years ago, he started to study the Bible and even repented in his sins, but came back to the world. After 12 years he got tired to live in sins, and decided to start study the Bible again. But he lost all contacts with disciples. He have remembered only one our song “Rejoice Rejoice in the law of the Lord” He typed this words in Google and find the website of Moscow Church, and through  this site he find our site in  the Omsk. After one month of studying the Bible he was baptized in Irtysh River. God Almighty!

Dear brothers and sisters, we so thankful for all of you, your prayers and love, your faith in us. And of course for all of your offertory during all this years. Thank you so much. Please continue support us in future, and at first in your prayers!
