From Lu Garcia:
Thank you all for your fasting efforts and prayers to bring about God’s power in selling the Hawkins’ home. Also for all who are sick and hurting emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
May God’s love fill you,
Here’s what’s going on:
No Hunger Holiday: GREAT NEWS! We have received enough donations to meet our goal! For now, we have turned off our donation form. Join us for church on Sunday to hear all the details of Phase 2, and how you can get your friends, family, and coworkers involved.
Fall Festival (Saturday October 20th, 5pm – 9pm): As of now over 100 people have RSVP’d “yes” for our Festival! If you plan to join us there’s still time to respond:
Please note that the start time of this event is 5pm. Also, if you would like to enter in the chili cookoff we still have some spots available. You can use the same link above to register; it is necessary to pre-register for the cookoff if you would like to participate.
In addition we do need just a few people to volunteer at the Fall Festival. Please contact Stayce Mayfield if you would like to help: Staycemayfield@gmail.com
Men’s Breakfast (October 20th, 9am): Men and boys, please join us for our final Men’s Breakfast of the year. Meet us at the Denny’s near Dorsett and 270 for hotcakes, eggs, sausage, and coffee.
Soup Night (Friday November 2nd, 6:30pm): It’s baaaaaaaaack! Bring a pot of your favorite soup and and serving utensil to share.
Soup Night also marks the return of the Souper Heroes! We need just a few people to answer the call and provide bread or a dessert in addition to soup. If you would like to join this elite group, go here to sign up:
